Our owners had a vision to build a beautiful Hamptons Beach House to be their forever home, to raise their 2 beautiful children close to the beach and family. They were so involved in planning their home that there was a Pinterest idea for every space. Just the time the owners spent having a very clear vision of what they wanted helped the process run smoothly.
The only issue with this build was that the owners lived in Sydney and we were building on the Sunshine Coast. This was a knockdown rebuild and our owner happened to be speaking to the company who were doing the removal of the existing house. It so happened David Prior Homes had built for her previously. She was so happy with the service and the final result she told them to simply call us. Which they did, and we worked together to produce of beautiful home.
There was a particular design issue due to the size of the block and the overall design which had to include raking ceilings with exposed beams and vj lining. Whilst it wasn’t easy or quick, in consultation with our engineer we made it happen. It just took some time and thought to be able to fulfil our clients dreams.
The process was made so much easier because our owners had spent a lot of time collecting ideas and finishes – creating their own mood board. Not everyone wants to do this, but it certainly meant decisions were made quickly and the whole design came together.
The Result
The end result was a home that met all their needs, met their expectations and provided a wonderful space to come home to.
